Due to the announcement by the Federal Government tonight restricting indoor sporting facility gatherings, and on-going concerns within our community, we are very sorry to announce that we will be suspending swimming lessons. From midday Monday, the 23rd of March 2020 and for the foreseeable future, all lessons, intensives and hydrotherapy will be suspended due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Although we have done everything possible to ensure hygiene for our patrons, we feel it is in the best interest of our staff and our patrons to close the pool, as advised by the federal government. Management will be meeting tomorrow to evaluate the situation in its entirety and will keep all patrons informed and updated. All current bookings will carry forward. Please contact us with your booking requests to guarantee your place when classes resume. We hope to reopen as soon as we can, and will be guided by the advice of the government and health authorities. We will continue to keep you updated and hope that we can all get through this. Please be sure to check updates from us on facebook and email. 1. Sleep
You know those nights where your kid doesn’t want you to leave the room – or your toddler comes out of bed eleventh-billion times for a hug, a glass of water, to throw out some garbage, and to just talk about life? Here's the thing: They need to exercise during the day to use up all their physical energy so they can sleep well at night. It may seem like kids have endless amounts of energy, and you'd think they'd run through it during their day. But, they need to exercise ALL of their muscles in a productive way – which swimming is perfect for! 2. Energy Speaking of energy, swimming also gives kids energy! It may sound like a paradox that it can both invite better sleep AND increase energy, but it's true. The more kids exercise, the more their body works to pump oxygen and blood throughout their body – and the more they use their muscles, the more their muscles want to be used. We are taking enrolments for Babies' Swim Classes in Edgecliff NOW! It is not too late to enrol! We will take new students until the 2nd week of Term 4. Call now 02 9362 1496 or enrol@kickswim.com.au
It’s time to celebrate the warm weather and ease our mind this summer at KICK Learn to Swim where we focus on water safety all year long!!
Float, glide, kicks and arm strokes are the foundation of swimming, and at Kick Learn to Swim we go further. We teach water safety skills during each and every lesson all year long, so your child learns ways to be safer in and out of the water – and it becomes second nature. Our instructors use integrity, compassion and trust to teach children things like breath control, humpty dumpties and back floats…which are the key blocks of safety swim skills. These special skills are so important and very useful in the summertime (Beach and Pool season!!) and we want to make sure that every single kid knows how to use them if necessary. Stay safe in or around water kids! |
