Before Lesson – Get kids swim ready: Cossies & swim cap on. A swim cap is compulsory at KICK. Putting the cap on before they enter the pool prevents them from hopping out of the pool with sopping wet hair; this is especially important when it is cold outside. Keep clothes on over the swimming cossie until they are ready to get in the pool during these cooler months.
After Lesson – Have towels & hoods handy! Some parents use hooded dressing gowns that go straight over their swimmers and avoid the tricky after-swim clothing (like leggings). Sticking to loosely fitting clothes such as trackies, fleece pants or even pyjamas will also make it is easier. Stay Positive – Yes, it can be hard to stay motivated when the weather is cold, wet and miserable. Remind yourself that making sure your kids are safe in the water is worth the effort. Besides, swimming is one of the best forms of exercise they can do and good habits set the foundation for them as they grow older. We are an Active Kids Provider!
All kids of school age are eligible for a $100 voucherfrom the NSW government. To find out how to apply for & redeem your Active Kids Voucher, visit our Active Kids’ page https://www.kickswim.com.au/activekids.html #activekids

Holiday programs are a great way to consolidate the progress made during the term; especially during the winter. They are also beneficial for those kids ready to move up a level or who have just moved up.
We run holiday programs during most of the school holidays throughout the year. Swimmers attend a class at the same time each day for a week. Our Winter Holiday Program will run 30 minute sessions between the hours of 8am-12pm during the following dates: Week 1: 8 - 12 July Week 2: 15 - 19 July To reserve a spot in the upcoming Winter Holiday Program book online on our Holiday Program page or call or email us. • Re-enrol during the week of 17-23 June to confirm the same time & day or request a change in session. Please note we cannot guarantee that your exact change request can be accommodated. • Pay no later than 30 June to secure your child’s spot.. NOTE: If payment is not received by the 30th of June, we will remove your child from the schedule unless you have notified us beforehand. • We will address ‘Change Requests’ from the 4th of July, after we have sorted all payments. NOTE: Although we do our best to maintain consistency, we cannot guarantee that your teacher will remain the same. The assessment of swimmers takes place every term before we begin re-enrolments. This term, we will start assessing kids next week (Weeks 6 & 7) 3 - 16 June. It is really important that your child is present at their lesson during that week so we are able to accurately update every child's level in our system. Our instructors are unable to discuss student’s assessments or levels; so please do not approach your child's teacher during/after their lesson. If you do have any queries, please speak with the supervisor the following week.
We understand how excited and keen the kids are to get into the water when they get here. If you are early, please make sure your child DOES NOT get into the pool. When their lesson is finished, please make sure your child exits the pool immediately. This is important because it not only disrupts the other kids’ swimming lessons, but it is extremely dangerous. Our teachers cannot be responsible for kids playing in the water outside their specified class times. Please respect this important rule, our front desk supervisors will be monitoring this strictly throughout the term. |
